Sorry I have to disagree, some might find it amusing and get a kick out of it, and before he knows it the frequency of the calls will increase. If the same person persists, just start swearing. Nobody likes that.
Good point; when I'm unfortunate enough to talk to someone who has a screeching baby or *shudder* something like a parrot/conure that's going off it feels like a hot needle going into my brain: you can't beat a high-pitched shriek for that kind of misery.Have whistle with u - then blow the fuuck out of it
I've just read an article somewhere on why this might be happening. It may be due to call-centres which automatically dial numbers. If the operator isn't ready to speak to you, either the call terminates or there is a silence. This has led to numerous complaints and investigations. Apparently, overseas, companies have to measure how many times this occurs and face heavy penalties should it be too many.Really annoying.
Some twob keeps phoning and hanging up, private number. Vodacom say they can do f-all about it unless I go to the police... right, like that will do bugger all.
When the shmuck phones I just hit Answer, hit mute and leave it going for as long as he wants to waste money.
