That is quite a beautiful thing because, if the party prosecuting has to cover their own costs obviously they would have to be really invested in the case for it not to be a waste.

I assume these guys are trying to make a name for themselves by trying a case even the NPA dropped?

The case was not dropped on the merits of the matter, but because of errors in due process

And suitably doctored in the interim as well.

But I do like this move. I'd support if they need funds...

The prosecutors in the NPA who have been working on this one want him to go down- but McCarthy screwed them over by playing a political game.
