Hope someone can guide me here. Running my server using a HP Gen8 Microserver & Ubuntu 20
2x 4TB Drives and 1TB for downloads before they're moved to their respective drives.
One 4TB manages movies and the other TV shows.
I have now purchased a 8TB drive to replace the TV show drive but I am struggling with moving the mnt without having to redownload everything. Anyone done this before? Wouldn't mind redoing the setup but don't have a screen with VGA anymore to watch the server installation.

Which client are you using? Qbittorrent has a move function.

i very strongly suggest not using the torrent client to move massive amounts of data
if changing torrent client, copy contents of
~/.config/rtorrent/session
to a new folder, we'll need them shortly
copy all torrent data from old to new folder
rsync -avzh /path/to/old/ /path/to/new
if not changing client, simply select all torrents in client and change directory (not copy to new!) skipping the check hash option to not have to wait for all the data to be checked as rsync does it for you
if changing client, add the torrent session files to new client, set directory to the new directory with the data moved above, skip hash check
