pro 20

I'm glad to say that our one day side actually looks very good. The moments of madness that are present in our test side are more visible in our opponents during the one day games. Can't wait for the world cup!

Hehe you guys are funny, they batted against a weak bowling attack, and did very well, but now they gonna win the world cup?

SAs best chance was here at home, noone beats SA at home, but they stuff up at the world cup.

As for the Carribean... its always good to have have faith.:p

yes the bowling is weak

but if we can play like this in the world cup we can win

but the west indies will knock us AGAIN

Definately! If you can score runs that fast against any team SA will win!
But can they?

Remember both games were played on good batting wickets and against bad bowlers, im sure most people can understand that but they let that blow everything out of proportion and think they unbeatable!

Fanaticism knows no bounds. Now you're blaming bad bowlers?

It was a batsmen-friendly pitch. Why didn't Pakistan's batsmen deliver? Remember the ICC champions trophy where SA made 219 and Pakistan were bowled out for 80-odd? The fact is that Pakistan always fold under pressure - there's no way that they could possibly chase anything over 350.

Agreed!! Their batsmen didnt have it in them to chase 300+ or even try...
But was it not the bowlers who gave it away?

i think it was an all round bad performance by Pakistan, bad captaincy: they kept bowling that one dude at the start who was getting pummeled, and then they took so long to get spinners into the attack. Also messing with the batting order, sending Afridi in so early, it looked like they had no clue what they were doing. (of course its easier to see these things from the outside in hindsight, but still?)

Anyone watch the local games?

I watched the last two cobras games and they were both great. R40 a ticket is not too bad. 3 hours goes by really quickly but it is non-stop action.

The Cobras are such a good "limited overs" side. The 4 day team is crap but boy are they doing well. They should never have lost the 1st game (Lions) but we'll see them again soon.
This is definitely a game for the "no names" to shine. Look at Warren Swan last night. 3 wickets in 2 overs I think... and these are Titan batsmen!!

Still haven't managed to come near to catching a six. Standard bank give you 1000 bucks if you do.

Some terrible efforts in the crowd yesterday...:(

I wouldnt mind going to see a match or two.

With the exception of one day matches its the only style of cricket that makes sense.

Pfft

Typical American to miss the finer details of test cricket. :p

:D

Playing for days on end and no one wins? Whats the point?

BTW - I played at school so its not like I'm not grasping the sport. ;)
