Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 vs Fifa 2010 (PC Versions)

Hi guys!

I'm looking into buying one of these two games, but i'm kinda stuck on which one :/

Things i'm looking for in the game is:

Realism (Player movements and reactions)
Graphics
Commentating
Detail (Player, team histories etc)
Gameplay (Real but still fun and not too frustratingly real)

I am specifically looking at the PC versions of both these two games so don't talk about console compare console versions :)
It would be grand if you could rate these two games by the above mentioned criteria :) or more if you feel like it!

Personally PES2010 > FIFA

You gave all the leagues appart from the World cup. And you can play "Become a Legend" mode where you actually play a single possition on the field and start out being a rookie and work your way up through the leagues, getting offers/transfers and so on. You start a career and need to see if you can become a legend. This is the only mode I play and I'm loving it.
 
Uhm to be really honest. I cannot stand football games on pc. They always poorly ported and the console versions just feel way better.
 
Graphis pes wins easily. PES on pc is the xbox 360 version that is ported while with fifa they port a slightly improved ps2 version not the xbox 360 version.

Detail fifa have more licenses but you can mostly fix issues with pes by downloading a fan patch. PES does have most of the big european teams, its mostly only epl they lack.

Realism pes for me but its closer thent he gfx.

Commentating is about the same. Nothing special.

Gameplay pes is better imho.

You should know my observations is based on the demo of fifa and the full version of pes, don't know if the full version of fifa has a lot of improvements over the demo.
 
PES 2010 on the PC all the way. Rips FIFA 10 to shreds. On the consoles it's a different matter though, FIFA isn't that bad on the consoles though I would still prefer PES.

The realism aspect is enhanced with the download of a fan patch... I'll pm you which is the best as soon as I get to my gaming pc later today...
 
Could you PM me as well smokey? I've had a look at some dev sites for PES, but there are just SO many different patches. I ended up just playing the game stock. As for OP's question, I have both games, and after about a month I only play PES. Love master league!
 
I was gonna get FIFA 10 for PC but now I suppose I should get PES...

Awesome you guys! thank you for the response! really cleared up my decision :) looks like i'm going with PES.
It would be much appreciated if you could sent me that PM for the patch :D
 
Me too please Smokey.

IMO this year PES wins hands down. EA have failed to up the level since 08 and looks as though they are going backwards.
 
pes 2010 on PC is not that good. i downloaded it about a week ago.

PES 2009 PC >>>> PES 2010 PC . the movements are to slow now , and it seems to much similar to Fifa 2010.

Get FIFA 2010 , i just downloaded it last night , really good and much better!

2GHZ Laptop , 2GB Ram , 256MB graphics card...thats what my laptop specs are.

I am back to playing PES 2009 now. I think its better than FIFA and PES 2010

Source please?? EA sports president for the last three years have maintained they will not give pc gamers the next gen version.

No specific source. I just googled and read a couple of forums a few weeks ago. Check out EA's forums. Lots of "rumours" is currently pointing to a next gen Fifa 11 for PC, but not exactly the same standard as the console version.
 
PESGaming.com has great complete PC patches for PES2010. Definitely the better game. Own both - and PES by far is the better one. FIFA does offer you the better commentary and chants - but you can download a chant pack and create your own custom chant simulation in PES, choosing when you want what to be chanted, like after a goal or at the final whistle or during general gameplay.

Go with PES.
 
OK, I downloaded the patch via usenet but the best patch out there by far (and I have tried quite a few) is PESedit.com's patch(es). It's been some time now since I last posted and last downloaded a patch so there is new stuff available. ie: go to PESedit.com

Just a few things...

a lot of the version above 3.0.0 are a bit buggy, so don;t go there. Rather get PESedit.com Patch 3.0 and nothing more - works like a charm.

Also, for anyone who's interested they also have a WC2010 patch which look awesome (downloading it now) if I have some spare time in the next week or so will tell you guys what I think of it.
