Pro Pic Blurry or poor quality

Hi does anyone know why my bbm pro pic looks blurry I take pics with my dslr camera and the quality shows awesome on the phone or pc but when i add it as my bbm pro pic it looks terrible also when someone else looks at it on their phone they complain the quality is very bad and even if i give them the pic and view it on their profile on my Galaxy note 3 same issue

What are a bbm pro pic?

Does it compress the files?

My guess is that either:

1) The pic hasn't fully rendered yet

2) BBM compresses it heavily

3) The phone you have has very low processing and graphics capabilities, hence not being able to show it's full detail.

I will go with 2.....because I tried editing the pic and dropping the files size, now it looks fine.Also I have a note 3

Ok so I figured it out bbm ****s up the compression I edited the same pic but made the size in mb much small now the pic is clear
