Problem accessing facebook and twitter on vodacom?

Hi everyone,

I dont know if its just me but since yesterday morning I seem to be unable to access both Facebook and Twitter on my phone when on Vodacom.

It will simply time out on the Apps, from the browser, even when tethered from my computer.

I did log a call with vodacom last night, they said theres been a few users with this problem , but I really want to know if anyone els on the forum has experoenced the same problem.

Interestingly enough, I can tracert to facebook.com just fine and works perfectly from my phone over wifi.

Anyone els experienced this?

PS I am using a LG G3 and tried this in Centurion, Irene and Germiston.

Hi there

I am experiencing the same problem and reported it to Vodacom yesterday. They had me make some connection attempts while tracing my connection. I haven't heard back from them yet, but I believe they're working on the problem. YouTube may also be affected.

Luckily I have wifi, but I'm sure a lot of people out there are relying on mobile data and are really frustrated. Hope this gets fixed soon.

After making the post I just phoned two of my friends, ine who stays in the Reeds the other in PE , both reported similar problems, wonder whats going on?

And why this outage isnt on MyBB front page?

I can access Twitter OK, but FB says it can't connect to the server, youtube same problem, I'm on BIS and it seems to have been throttled and using up my airtime too!
