I have been trying to connect my Samsung Smart TV to a Pioneer SA-508 amplifier.
It plays fine from my phone or the tuner but no sound from the TV.
Is there a reason for this?
TIA

1.) Are you sure that's audio out and not audio in?

2.)

if you want RCA, you will need one of these:

phpThumb.php

Alternatively, one of these: https://raru.co.za/electronics/5700540-lindy-10m-2-x-rca-3-5-mm-stereo-cable

or if your amp takes a single audio input, one of these will also work: https://raru.co.za/electronics/6014214-lindy-2m-stereo-m-m-cable-35642

Get an optical to analogue adaptor from Takealot

I got one for my friend's Samsung TV. Comes with an optical cable - around R350 odd

jah, sorry, showing my age here.

3.5mm is the correct size. I have a few lying around, bought to play music from my phone before the days of Bluetooth
:D Lay off the pineapple beer please

Ok I have been a complete numbskull.
Its sorted with the 3.5mm jack. Didnt see it behind the wall bracket.
