Hi all,

I'm looking for a little advice and help here. Since I bought my new router (belkin 8635 n+) I have not been to connect to mw2 games. If I try join anyone elses game, it just says 'unable to connect to host' or it just counts till it times out.

I just installed MOH and am having a similar problem. If I try join a server, it says 'joining game' but never does, the joining game dialog just disappears after 10secs or so and I'm left looking at the server browser.

I've tried the following

Port forwarding (which I never had to do on my old belkin anyway)
upnp on and off
Router firewall on and off
Creating a DMZ server
Anti virus on game mode

I tried my 3G modem and there were no problems.

I there anything I might be missing? The PC is connected via a LAN cable to the router, could it be the type of cable?

All other aspects of the router is working fine, home networking, wifi, Internet!!! Just no multiplayer gaming.

I really don't know what to do next.

You should not need to do port forwarding if UPnP is turned on which is all you need. Did you change your ISP by any chance? They may be blocking the ports (I had this on some ISPs). Otherwise, have you tried to upgrade the firmware or just re-flash and set to default settings and then only turn on UPnP?

Hi Chris,

Yeah, I've tried my mweb, axxess, and webafrica accounts all with the same problem. I reset to factory default but using the software and not the reset button. I also put on the latest firmware.

I get this as well and I am on Iburst, but when I search for a game, I get one. Also, I can join on guys whom can host. I just thought it is iwnet failing again, nothing new...

Don't have MOH, but had no problems with the open beta.

Yes I tried the WAN ping block but with no luck. I'm going to fetch my old router from my mate this afternoon, and see what happens there.
