Problem flashing Sony Ericsson W900i (blue screen)

My w900i started flashing about 3 weeks ago so I turned to the SE forums for help. I downloaded all the drivers and firmware needed and tried to flash my phone with XS++ this morning. It was going well up until the following point:

It was about 94 flashblocks done when I got a blue screen and my laptop died. I tried to restart in safe mode and reflash the phone but it's not even detecting the phone anymore. If I try connect the phone to my laptop in normal mode I get blue screened again. I can't seem to find any solutions to this problem online. Does anyone on MyBB have any advice WRT this problem.

Ok, just to update incase anybody else ever hits this same snag. I joined www.topsony.com forums and found quite a lot of help there. It seems that trying to Flash the w900i on Vista is not a good idea. I moved the File System, Main Firmaware and XS++ 3.1 to a XP box and flashed my phone from there. Worked perfectly. I did however forget to back up my GDFS and have to now repair that issue but at least the flashing went well. The phone now starts :)
 
(Note: This cannot be done with Vista)
Downloaded Flash USB driver for usb cable and installed it
Downloaded XS++ again
Downloaded FS and Main flash files for W900i (generic) from download section
Downloaded Custom Pack (generic) for W900i from dl section
Unzipped the custom pack to a folder in the folder containing the XS++ exe and renamed it to "own_custpack"

Took battery out and replaced it. Started XS++ and clicked connect. Held C button on OFF phone and connected the USB cable. Directed the Main and FS flash to where those files were. On customization tab selected "own custpack" and clicked flash. Took 15 minutes or so but voila!!!! Phone is working.
