problem(s) with ADSL (dns I think).

Hi all

I did a search, got some info, but I need to make sure.

I got my ADSL installed (self install) after damm 2 months waiting for telkom. My ADSL Router/modem connects , but I can't browse any web sites (dns errors)

I phoned Telkom, and the person gave me the DNS settings.

196.25.255.34
196.25.255.3

dsl-cache.saix.net 8080 .

But still NOTHING!!!!!!

Must I place the 196.... settings in my router aswell? I did only change my network connection to point to 196.... I didn't specify in my router the settings. I have a NetGear router...

Any info what I might have missed?

Remove the manual DNS settings. Have a look if you can browse the Telkom webpage www.telkom.co.za . If you can then you still need to authenticate your DSL installation.
