Enough is enough
18th December reported the fault, went days without any connection, that is no phone line and no ADSL - no Internet
phone line came on a few days later, Internet came one a day or two after that
over new years we had no Internet connection for 3 days
kept getting daily ZMS, saying that the fault was being a attended to, and that I would not be charged for the days that the connection was down
that never happened
this is not the 1st time that I have issues, and last time when I wanted to cancel, lady in cancelations and retention even promised me a discount and again in typical telkom fashion, nothing


1st two technicians did not even bother to show up, Gavie and Pieter
Tabo was a bit better, late, however he showed up and gave the problem his attention, and his conclusion is that it's network congestion, and that he would escalate the issue
kept in touch with him, as he can't sort that issue out, it's a whole different division

We live stream every thing, from news to series to movies
in the mornings it's great (am home in the morning) in the evening one can watch nothing
we have been down the road of checking if it's throttling, it's not, it Show me as an average user
further if it was throttling, in a new month it would be fine (friend has been throttled) and the new month made no difference
and besides that in the morning it's fine, in the evening it's a huge issue

The fault was closed without the issue having been sorted out, leaving me to open a new one

Am on a 4meg line uncapped

Technicians don't work after 4pm, and the problem gets worst after 7pm
have done many speed tests
today the speed was between 3.1meg to 3.5meg, however there are lots of huge spikes
ping between 46 and 56 today

This line has been a problem from day one, with problem after problem

Was going to move to Neotell, yes its more money, however I need something that works, however when I wanted to cancel, telkom said that it would give me a discount and solve the issue

If there is someone here from telkom who is willing to help
help would be much appreciated
latest foult 926CRK050215 - that was on the 5th of Feb, including
" telkom will endeavor to resolve this problem within 2 days" And till today nothing

Here is further proof that it's congestion
we are currently on load shedding
we have a generator here at home, that runs, LED lights (the whole house), TV and TV box PC, camera and security system and fridges should they come on

we are watching/streaming with no buffering issues, no delays, even downloaded way ahead
why couz every one else is off and not on line

Those folks won't be able to assist with congestion but they should be escalating the issue to their network infrastructure planning division. Ask them to do that.... as they are more than likely going to close your fault ref again.
 
Still struggling 2ith telkom and their issues
a new cable has been laid
techs started working on the cable connection and now no connection and feed back

Absolutely F******* pathetic
think the time to pay the extra money and move to Neotell
