Problem! Wife coming with to Rage

Okay.. so here is my problem... I am a serious hoarder of games.. I have a problem, but that's for another post. Anyways, my plan was to buy up a whole whack of titles, either pre-owned, or new and on sale, at Rage.. but my wife has indicated that she would like to come along, and there is no way she will allow Operation "Buy Lots of Games" to go ahead.. what do I do? Should I try and make it seem like she is probably not going to enjoy Rage, or do you have other suggestions... My wife is pretty cool, likes to party and is a gamer, BUT there is NO way she is going to allow me to throw caution to the wind in the way I can when if comes to the buying of games!:(
 
Try and distract her somehow, hahahaha
I'm making a concerted effort from now till I next year to hoard as much as I want. Cause once I tie the knot it's overs, hahahahaha. Good luck bud! I'm sure there are some guys who have some real good ideas
 
maybe she thinks you're gonna go the the s3xpo?
 
Suggestion : buy her lots of cooldrinks, and when she slips away, go on a shopping spree before she comes back :p :D
 
I know it's a whacky idea, but what about just being honest. Not like "Lets talk about it" honest, but "I'm going to buy lots of games because they're cheaper and I'm saving lots, so deal with it" honest.

If that fails I know a good lawyer if you need one :p
 
Why not get her a nice pair of shoes or a nice dress and then she can't say anything about the games :D
 
Lots of shopping Ideas.. but then if I do that... where the hell am I supposed to get money for the games!!?!?! I'll still have some money, but I wont be able to go as bos as I intend!!?? Plus, if you guys know anything, you'll know that the spending on money is FINE as long as the money is being spent on the woman. I guarantee it, if I took her out after work and out of the blue said I wanted to buy her some shoes. First will come the "what did you do / are you having an affair" inquiry, and once that's sorted out I can spend away, but come Rage and cheap games, when I pick one up its all about how we are saving money and the economy is bad, and this and that, yadah yadah, and then even maybe throw in the fact that I spent all my money on a pair of shoes for her...

Also, @ Doobiwan... mmmm this honesty thing sounds quite interesting..."Honesty?" is honesty like some kind of far eastern philosophical thing!?!? Plus, I am a lawyer, if that helps!?!?!?

PS: I am going to Rage tomorrow, I'll be the guy with a whole whack of 360 games walking around with a chick who's all pissed off. If you see me, come say hi!!!

Then you should know what the consequences can be.
 
Tell her that with the economy and the rand that games are about to become a lot more expensive and best you stock up now on second hand ones rather than shiny new imported games :)

not really, married guys don't get much sex anyways, do they? (flame away peeps)

I think the guy who's new GF tags along is gonna think "with all these games, where's all the sexytime gonna fit in?" where as a married woman would think "Hey, now I can go shopping again, with HIS money"
 
Natas remind wifey that "idle time is the devil's plaything". So tell her that with plenty of games to keep you at home and occupied, you'll less likely to be out there cheating on her or getting up to mischief. :D

Tell her you have to find your fun and adrenaline rush somewhere, and as far as adrenaline rushes go, playing games is a pretty safe route. You could of course look elsewhere if she doesn't want you to play games....
