Hi

Has anyone experienced any problems in the last 24 hours purchasing apps from the Apple App Store?

Both my husband and I have had transactions declined when trying to make a purchase, and additionally his iCloud subscription was meant to renew last night and that too was declined. We are both with FNB, and nobody at FNB seems able to tell us why, with them suggesting to us the problem is with Apple...

Thanks.

SA Account. Apple Community shows others having similar problems, with no solutions offered, so I have since emailed iTunes support.

For whatever reason, I couldn't even access my SA account this past Friday. My US account worked fine. Maybe it's something to do with them changing from dollars to rands.

I may well be, since India also switched to local currency and the other people having similar issues were all based in India.

I received a "copy-paste" response from Apple Support which didn't offer much help aside from trying to pass the buck to the bank (who had previously tried to pass the buck to Apple), and suggesting I go to myinfo.apple.com to update my information - which might have worked if the site wasn't down (and still is!). Their service in Apple Stores might be great, but their online support sucks - I've had far better results in every single encounter I have had with Amazon support.

iTunes has zero support. My itunes account was hacked and someone bought a bunch of chinese apps and there was nothing I could do except changing my password. Funny thing is that on the app store, all the comments on that specific app were from people whos accounts had been hacked and that app was purchased so it was obvious that it was a global problem.

There is no communication channel to report these sort of things and i just had to take the $30 loss and ensure i never left a credit balance on the store.

In your invoice there is a Report a Problem link.

It looks like this:
