Problem with BIS

OK so as per my previous post... turns out my line got suspended and so everything failed.

Now the phone has been re-activated.. calls work, browser works but BIS is not. I've looked into the HRT and it's empty so I clicked register and I get a msg " Registration Message Queued. It will be sent once data coverage is available."

Looking next to my signal bar I usually now have GSM, and sometime changes to 3g, usually its shows 3G dunno if the big/small letters mean anything.

Going onto the MTNSP site to try activate my BIS from there, it first asks to enter username/password ( which i have no clue what it is ) so i click register only to get a msg "Your account does not support HTML registration, please use your blackberry device"

It's all becoming a serious headache and the blackberry customer care department doesn't seem to be available has Ive been waiting for a consultant for over 25min.

Any help guys?

Seems it might be related to my data being barred but for the life of me can't but wonder what goes through their mind to activate my voice and not my data
 
Hi, The small letters of gsm, edge, 3g means that it is coming off as data for which you will get charged as data. The capital letters (GSM, EDGE, 3G) means that it is coming off BIS, which is included in your BIS subscription.
 
Do a hard reset ... switch the phone off, take out the battery and wait 5.3287 seconds and then put it back in and start up. That usually works for me.

I've done the whole battery out, sim out even waited 1hr and put back in and doesn't work. Could reinstalling the blackberry OS have messed everything up? And i did do a restore afterwards from my backup
 
Call the ISP

Hey Adrian,

have you tried calling the ISP and asking them to resend the service books, that normally helps in this situation.

Well im not too sure if it's related to the service books, right now I have no data access and therefore cant register new HRT's. Ive been in contact since 9am with mtnsp and everytime they tell me gprs is unbarred only to find out later its not. When my grprs/edge/3g works again I will follow up with the service books if needed.
