Problem with Blackberry 8310 and Gmail app

My Gmail app on Blackberry is not working. It is not updating. I tried to send an email. And since then it has not been working. The mail I tried to send is stuck in my outbox, and I cannot delete it. Is there something I can do to resolve this. I have tried downloading the Gmail app again, but that did not work. Must I delete the account in the ap and set them up again?

Thanks Astound.I found the Blackberry sub-forum and posted there. Still trying to reolve the issue. I think the next thing reinstalling the OS to resolve.
