I have a Centurion D5 EVO motor. This morning it wouldn’t open. It is not making a click sound when I stand next to it an press the remote. Opened the box and 3 green lights are on. Close; Open; Lck/Stp. Checked battery reading 13,7 Charger 14,5.
Have waited off mains power, disconnected battery and then switched main power on and reconnected battery it still not working.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks - Malcolm

It sounds like it might be holiday lockout mode. Here's more information on that:

Can you go to programming and try learn a remote to see if the receiver picks up a button press? It should warn the remote already exists

And if you trigger it manually on the motor? That also doesn’t work?

It shouldn't work. That's what lockout does. I believe pressing and holding the pedestrian button enables/disables the lockout mode. And whilst you're working on your D5 Evo, make sure you disable the test button inside the motor since some criminals have used that to gain access to premises by burning a hole through the side of the unit to gain access to the button:

Thanks for all the advice - I’ll try these tomorrow and reply back with an update.

Hi all - so I tried looking into things today in between rain and load shedding and have not solved the problem. I’ll list what I found and attach photos I took.
9 screen readings as follows:
D5 -EVO
Waiting for Co-processor
Blank screen
Centurion Systems
D5 - EVO
Org on right
Off / Closed
Off / Drive fault
Off / Fuse blown or drive fault

Then while there was power with 220v connected the screen showing battery said:
13,7 V and charge 14,5 V

When the power went off screen said:
Battery low 10,6 V and charge zero

I checked the 12v green plastic fuse and it is fine, but put in a new one in case. The found tube type glass fuse, I can’t see where there is one on the PC board?

Again any advice would be appreciated - thanks for your suggestions so far.

Malcolm

Sounds like the battery is toast. Lead acid batteries don't last when there's load shedding each day. You might want to replace it with a lithium version of the same size. You should be able to source that from most security shops.
