Hoping someone can suggest something, as this is driving me nuts.
Have 5 TV's in the house, all connected to 2 Explora decoders, all via RF.
4 of the TV's have the Ellies TVLink to control the channels remotely, and all were working fine. Woke up yesterday, and one of them is not working. No light on, no response. Assumed it is the TVLink that broke. So took that one to another TV, and it works fine. Took another TVLink to my TV, and no response. Checked the RF cable, all seems to be fine. Nothing changed, so there was nothing that should have broken.
Checked the settings on the decoders, all ok. The other TV's all work to change channels fine.
So the eye works on other TV's, won't work on mine. Other eyes won't work on my tv. RF cable appears fine, picture is good. No shielding touching where it shouldn't.
I'm out of suggestions. Could it be an amp in the roof or somewhere, and why would that affect only one TV?
Rebooted decoders. As mentioned, they both function fine from other rooms. Just this main room is not able to change channels etc. And it was working fine for years up to the night before. Odd.

Is the power adapter for that particular link unit working, just a thought, as it seems to work when plugged in elsewhere. Also given you plugged a working one in and there's no response

I had the same problem and it was the RF cable, redid the connections and it worked again.

Will try a new cable even though this one seems ok. Definitely a possibility. These TVLinks don't have external power, they draw and carry current from the decoder through the RF cable.

Solved the problem after some fuss. Tried a new cable, didn't work. Eventually, even though the tv was getting a perfect picture, I took the rf connector off the plug at the wall, and found the whole thing was corroded and nasty looking. It's like water got in and caused some reaction. Really nasty looking. I put on a new plug and cleaned the connectors, and boom....TVLink works fine.
So appears bad connectors can let the signal through, but block enough of the power from getting through to cause problems.
Thanks for the advice, hope this helps someone else out there.
