Problem with Mega 105WR Router

I got the router yesterday as a replacement for my Mega 200VWR that was faulty. After 6 hours , connection was lost and the USB and Internet lights were flashing. No DSL link.
Tested the line with another router , no problem. What went wrong and how can I fix the router, perhaps flash the firmare ?

Try to hard reset the router. Keep the button pressed for about 30 seconds, to be safe.

It may have been a power surge which totalled the router, if you ask me. Check your plugs
