Problem with SAIX international?

I'm experiencing very slow international browsing speeds today. (I have a shaped and unshaped SAIX account with WAFrica and experience the problem on both accounts.)

I can e.g. load news.bbc.co.uk and cnn.com eventually, but when I refresh, it's dead again. Problem is intermittent. Local websites load fine.

Anyone else experiencing the same problem?

Yes. Almost every international site is timing out here to or no connection

It's wierd. I can ping www.mininova.org, but I can't access the site.

Also in Cape Town. I'm getting very intermittent service. Some sites (like mail.google.com) work no problem. Others timeout, then work fine for a couple minutes then time out again.

That doesn't apply here. We're not leased line customers... and that link only went down at 16h48 anyway. We've had the problem all day long.

No inat connections

After phoning Telkom Internet 10215, they say SAIX has a problem, then phoning SAIX they say Telkom Internet is the cause of the problem.

It looks like this is the problem, they don't know whoes problem it is

Then I get cut off twice, 3rd time no answer, so I gave up.

Intermittent international browsing probably caused by SAIX line at Rosebank, although the advisory doesn't specifically say so. The problem persists (22:17 Sunday 14 January 2007). This is on all SAIX ADSL accounts (Stellenbosch). No problems with Internet Solutions uncapped ADSL (satellite International).
