Hey all,

I've got a Samsung SyncMaster 734NX 17" LCD.

Now my problem is that i connect all the cables correctly, turn on the monitor, and this is where the problem starts, nothing goes on, only the power LED flashes now and then. screen gets no power wat so ever?

What can the problem be? Screen is almost new, but i dont have the receipt to return it. I dont know if i should open it myself and peak inside? But not keen on doing that as i dont know what im looking for.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

:)

Sounds like there's no signal coming from whatever source you are using.

Green light or Yellow light flashing when you turn it on?

I use the same cables on a different LCD and it works perfectly? looks like the screen has no power but the little LED, it flashes like the PC is off?

sorry it is the Samsung 743NX 17" LCD, not the 734NX. :P

If u have a gfx card... make sure to plug the screen into that port and not to the onboard port.

If there is a problem with the screen... take it to TM Electronics or I-CSS... they are agents for Samsung. if your screen is under warranty presently, they will sort it out for free.

Try pushing the source button on the monitor. I had the same problem with my 953GW... it was looking for the analog signal but it was connected via DVI

Try to use the screen on another computer or laptop to find out if the problem lies with the PC or monitor.

It flashes blue, not yellow or green. :[

I've used the screen on 3 different PC's so the problem is definately with the screen. unfortunately this screen has to be pluggen onto mobo port :/

Will take it home today and fiddle with the bugger.

:D thx for the help guys.

just remembered i've got a samsung repar shop up my street, will pay them a visit this afternoon :D
