After I installed lagfix my phones screen started going crazy. The only way I can explain it is like when there is a damaged pixel on a screen but only thing is that whole screen is like that.I managed to get it into recovery mode and cleared everything, unrooted and unlagfixed. Now when I put my phone on it is not as bad the writting is all blurry and when I lock and unlock it the phone goes off.By the way I can go into recovery and download mode.Is my phone bricked?

Firstly can you specify what lagfixes you applied?
What ROM are you using now?
When you are in download / recovery mode is your screen still blurred?

Is you can get to download / recovery mode the handset is not bricked. I have not heard of anyone that has bricked a phone as yet. There is always a way so relax.

RyanZAEXT2LagFix BETA 2-3.Using stock froyo 2.2.1 and yes it is still blurry in recovery and download mode but not as bad as when it is on the home screen. Also just to check if my phone is not rooted any more I ran droidwall just to check and it was not rooted.I have a one year warrenty on the phone.

What provider did you get the phone from and how long ago? If it is still present on recovery and download mode then I would say the screen might be faulty.
If you are able to backup your phone numbers, etc. then when in recovery mode do a factory reset and then see what the outcome is.

What about when your phone boots? Is even the boot screen blurry? If it is then take it back.

***EDIT***

I am pretty sure (99.95%) sure that RyanZA's lagfix will not affect your screen. But maybe someone else can advise different. All it does is converting the file system.

Got it from cell c about 2 weeks ago.Problem still persists even with factory reset.Even the boot is blurry.Never dropped or any liquid damage.

Uhm, that looks like a lag fix for gingerbread hence 2-3 and you are on froyo.

Since you already voided your warranty, why not load a custom rom like Darky or Juwe.

Just a question - have you tried cleaning the screen yet? Maybe there's some Vaseline or something on it... :p

I decided to take it in tomorrow to the cell c store and see what they have to say.Does the owner of the contract have to be present.By the way I have the warranty slip.

Let us know what they say, hopefully they don't notice the difference

That is pretty crap. Vodacom normally advises 10 working days. It did sound physical as opposed to software related.

Keep us updated.
