They took the sump off to fix oil leak but now my car
Won't start what can be the problem

Sounds like the flux capacitor might be going...

Some more info would be great. Is the engine turning over when you start it? Is it completely dead? Does it sound like it wants to start but then dies? Does the dash lights go on etc.

year and model?

maybe its the car of the year edition, there are many experts on this forum for that model.

I think they should put the sump back on. It is kinda stupid to remove the sump for an oil leak - yes you won't have oil leaks any more, but you need oil in the engine so it won't seize up.

How did you drive the car back from where the sump was taken off?

Taking the sump off is known for causing the flux capacitor to overheat.

Tell them to put it back on ASAP!!!

Waiting on Rouxenator to comment that fixing an oil leak is more interesting than driving a VW...
