Problem with vodacom sim-swap

So basically I managed to lose my blackberry and modem with the sims inside both, went to vodacom and got two new sim cards (one for the phone and 1 for the mygig2 promo) and a new blackberry....

Now I'm just wondering if those had to be rica'd if my old ones already were? And how long do they take to start working? It's been over 5 hours and neither are working yet, which is strange as I'm sure I remember it as being instant or only a couple of hours.

Vodacom say 24 hrs but a couple of hours yes, and leave off, I was told ages back. Don't forget it is the silly season, things take a bit longer, the short staff is in, and yesterday was a holiday.

It's been 30 hours now, neither phone nor modem activated yet....

Did they do the sim swap on the system or did you just buy the physical sim cards? Did you lock the lines when they were stolen?
It might still be locked.

I went to the vodashop and asked for a sim swap as I had lost my phone, I then proceeded to fill in a lot of forms etc so I'm guessing it was done on the system
