Hi all,

I got a new CD today and want to back it up onto my PC.

I've put it into my CD/DVD drive and gone to My Computer and right clicked on the album and selected Explore.

Once I've done that, there are no audio files, and the only data file is a .flv video (which loads automatically when I put the CD into the drive).

How can I get the tracks off the CD? :(

Thanks! :)

Rip it with either iTunes, Windows media player or any other CD ripper

I can't open it in WMP...

Will give iTunes a try as a last resort a bit later.

The CD seems to register as a video-only CD (a video of the group performing).

iTunes should ask you if it should rip once it detects any audio CD in the drive

If not, what your holding there is a video CD:p

I've had good luck with CDex. Opensource & painfree. Converts to mp3 or wav.

If you want to a straight-forward image then Nero/alcohol can do that.

The reason why your seeing flv's is because there are both data sections and audio sections on the cd. If both are present then the explorer goes for the data one. Rippers can still see the audio sections though so all is well.
