Hello to the People.

Just a quick question. Is there anybody experiencing any browsing problems. Something related to Yesterdays International browsing. is it only in Cape Town or Nationally?

It seems ok now but earlier +_4pm it was starting to look like last night again

Everything of mine has just started going really really slow :( browsing and downloading

Browsing seems a bit slower than normal so I did a download test from RS and it came down at between 800kbps and 950kbps slower than normal for this time of night but acceptable.

I do agree that browsing speeds are not what it should be though.

Seems to be catching up now, Thanks guys. Does anyone know the exact cause of this problem and what is/can be done to prevent this from happening again?

some people suggest ADSL :)

it is difficult... cuz it is up to iburst and its moods or technology reliability. difficult to fix this problem from your side.

usually it is a matter of waiting for iburst to resolve the problem. Atleast they admit it when there is a prob. Sentech used to use the famous: 'you are the only one with this problem'.

While the site says all is ok, clearly there is an issue

Seems to be better now

EDIT: Oops. Spoke too soon.

Not too bad in CT right now but it's about time this was sorted out for good and not just "patched" up with a plaster, not one month goes by without some major problem or other.

I think this confirms for me that end April will be my last day with iBurst

well this has been the worst for me over the past couple of months... but yeah I know what you mean. It should happen like 2% of the time not 30% of the time.

Well if it hasn't been bad for the last few months I'm sure that isn't nearly 30% of the time.. :p <-- God I want to murder this smiley.. actually most smileys. Especially MSN ones.

Tuesday and yesterday it was bad internationally, now it's bad locally too. 1 hour to download 2.5MB. Took nearly 20min to get to this page (the myADSL site is usually a slow loader, but never this bad). What's really irritating is that the signal strength is around 100%...

CT at the moment seems to be ok with local and international, not quite full speed but acceptable so far.

I was fine yesterday but this morning I'm back down to 6KB/s downloading max :(

This forum and other sites have gone into slow mode again when loading, looks like a repeat of the past few days heading our way and I'm not capped yet.
