Hi guys,

Just want to find out has anyone also been having problems with Esquire? When i place an order there seems to be stock but when you collect there is always some items that is no longer in stock? I placed an order Wednesday promised there was stock, after payment was made there was no stock but they promised me to get stock by last week Friday and i still don't have anything today.

Is this how they usually work?

Thanks

Frank

Be careful when saying something bad about esquire. You might get an infraction - personal experience. That's how they roll.

Hi there

Let me know which item it was so I can investigate , our system cannot invoice an item without stock nor can a sales person tell you there is stock if there isn’t any in the system , as all our branch see live stock in real time.

It has happen on many times that an item even in stock has a box (even though it is sealed ) is not fit to sold as new will not be given to a client unless the client accepts as is with Full warranty on the product.

Those items not fit to be sold, will later sold off in the FireSales, we do once a year around August or September in our Big Tent Sale in Midrand.

The issue with stock can also be that any item was in stock when the sales person quoted you , but it could have been that it was sold in the meantime at the Xpress Store , Online Ordering system or even if someone else ordered before you as we work on First Order basis.

It could also be that an item is in stock but at another branch , which will be shipped to the branch you referring to.

In your case the sale person should have given you an equivalent or better item at the same price you were quoted.

Without any real facts or know which branch you are referring too I cannot do much , so please furnish me with the details, a Sales Order number and your account number so I can investigate and speak to the relevant people

I am still at the office so please send me that info, so we can fix this for future and bring it up as a “Post Mortem of week” that we do every Saturday in our meetings with our Operational teams.

Something i had to learn and i am still am trying to get it right is to proof read after you press save and fix all the words you leave out :D.

My brain skips words and i am always leaving them out haha but proof reading FTW.

not with esquire but with rectron & axiz in cape town i suppose this the norm down here as the issue has never been resolved with the latter
speak to Graham or Frank as they always make a plan for me.

Ordered a 2tb drive last week Thursday, said they had to order and would only arrive Monday. Very friendly rep called me Monday morning telling me I could collect. Was actually surprised at the good service. This was the Cape Town branch.

@ESQ:

A sign should be made for the collections desk, not too important once one knows where it is though.

There needs to always be someone checking up at the collections counter - I had to wait two minutes because the one person on duty was busy at the back (at the collections desk). If they are going to be busy at the back out of view, then they should check often if anyone is waiting for collection. Install a camera or something.

Cape Town branch does seem better recently, a bit more efficient. I would say it just needs one more employee as when ever I'm there there are usually only 3 people on duty and their hands are always tied up. Example cashier also operating the phone.

I've had only good service from the Cape Town branch... :D
Any mistakes, when they occur, are, almost always, quickly corrected...

This coming from you must be my lucky day, I going to play the lotto early tomorrow morning.

But jokes aside, I agree with you , we need more staff in Cape Town , I know Frank has been interviewing people and trying to find the right candidates, that are service driven , we had too many of those that were only there for the pay check ,

We have great team in Cape Town, two of our staff and partners from that branch are already in the running to win a ship cruise on the MSC Sinfonia to Bazaruto in November , We also have our best performing Sales Team leader from Midrand joining them in September.

I will forward you comments to Frank and ask him to expedite his hiring process

Thank you for the comments it is much appreciated and thank you for your support

EDIT: Just mailed him your comments about the signs
