Problems in Bryanston, JHB. Anyone else?

Problems with ADSL being dead slow (connections are made to sites but then just keep waiting indefinatey). Started yesterday (Friday), and continued today (thank goodness for dial-up)

I phoned the help desk this morning and amazingly got through first time, helpful call center person said they were working on something yesterday but she thought it had been fixed.

Said they would phone back,..... still waiting.

Anyone else having problems in the same area?

Yes there are problems in JHB, or maybe even all over the country but, it can only get worse.

We are talking about Telkom, remember?

There is packet loss on all DSLAM in Bryanston (1,2,3 &4).According to the Adsl Support Centre the network ref is 103ARK210706. All clients on the Bryanston Dslam may experience connectivity problems..

looks like the problems are mostly resolved, I'm still seeing some measureable packet loss in Bryanston though (1%)
