Problems with Channel 13!

Hi

I have a +-300m WDS link between 2 wrt54gl's...

I had enormous packet loss and pings of +2000 with channel 13 but as soon as I changed the channel to 14 I got no packet loss and a max ping of 2 with average being 1!!!!!

Why is this?

interference/noise maybe
i have found that changing from channel 1 to 2 makes a big difference.

oh and you should not be using anything above 11 if i remember correctly

ISM Channels/Frequencies is as follows

2400-2483.5Mhz
5150 - 5350Mhz
5470 - 5725Mhz
5725 - 5875Mhz
17.1-17.3Ghz
24.0-24.25 Ghz

On 2.4Ghz it means only 11 channels, making the normally Japanese setting of channel 13 illegal.

5.4 - 5.7 is normally used by municipalities, so care should be taken by using those.
