Hi guys,
I recently decided to build myself an HTPC. I decided on using a Compro E800F tuner. unfortnatly, I am having major issues with it. I initially downloaded the drivers from the compro site, installed them and both the DTV and FM apps kept crashing. I then unistalled those, and installed the version from the CD (these actually ended up being newer than the ones on the site). once these were installed, both apps would start but I have so far been unable to find any channels. I have tried every type of scan there is, but no luck with either FM or analogue TV.
My last resort now is to try the beta versions of the applications and drivers. if this does not work, I have run out of ideas. Have you guys had any luck with getting this card working?
PS: I am running Vista Ultimate on the HTPC and I think this is the issue, as I tested the card on an XP box and everything worked perfectly.
PPS: For those of you who are going to suggest that I se XP, please feel free to donate me a copy of XP Media Center Edition.
thanks in advance.
