So I'm running fine, playing online games etc without issue until about 5pm this afternoon (13th of July) when suddenly my lag increases and my web browsing becomes painful.

I'm on mweb uncapped, i switched over to a telkom account and it was even worst. At first I thought it must be some development with the seacom cable break but a quick look aroudn the forums with no1 reporting any issues makes me think it may only be me.

Check it: I was going to post a speed test result here but it seems that i cant even complete the test without it timing out :S

Any ideas?

just oppened my utorrent to see what my download speeds were like, and its going strong at 150kb/s which is odd considering all the trouble i'm having with itnernational browsing and online gaming :S

I think it has something to do with Seascum...I was also getting fairly normal torrent speeds but browsing was terrible. And also had some things timing out. But it seems better now, probably just not very stable until the cable is repaired, which I hope is soon!!!

Edit: Apologies for the awful grammar I'm too tired to bother.

Now its completey switched around. I left my pc on to download overnight as my torrents seemed to be the only thing working, but now torrenting breaks my internet connection, if i close utorrent everything works fine, turn on torrents and the line drops and the adsl light on the router starts blinking. Close it again and everything mystically works.

WHAT THE FUDGE!?

bump. Need answers, problem is ongoing, having a really crapfest of a day.

TO rehash the problem: Torrenting DROPS the line completely, slow international browsing, painfully slow gaming.

Everything gets to bareable speeds around 2 am in the morning then is crap again at 7 am.

I really dont want to have wait till 2 am every morning for normal use of my internet. Download speeds I can understand being crappy during the day, but browsing and gaming? **** that ****.
