Hi Guys,

I am having problems playing .mov files. It seems to play the file but only displays a white screen.

I have the Klite codec pack installed & Windows XP Sp2

Your help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Are you running dual-view? (2 monitors?) I used to find with my Nvidia card I had to select the monitor I was watching the video on as "Primary display" before I could see the videos. The box which the video was supposed to be in was usually either white or black.

1stly - never install codec packs - they are bad news. the following combination will allow you to play any file: (remember to uninstall codec pack 1st)

- Real Alternative -this will allow you to play Real Media content. It also includes Media Player Classic which will play anything you throw at it. Real's standard player is a PITA so this is quite handy.
- Quicktime Alternative - You only need to download the lite version as you now already have Media Player Classic
- FFDShow - This is the equivelant of a codec pack - it can decode anything and it is open source to boot.
- The only other codecs I install is the XviD binary (slightly better quality than ffdshow) and cedocida (better DV quality than ffdshow / less buggy)

If this doesn't solve your MOV playback issues, lemme know
