Could any one please help me? I have a LG gsa-2164d external DVD writer. It seems that every time I burn either a DVD+R or DVD-R, it keeps leaving 1 millimetres open spaces. One in the beginning of the disc, and another towards the end. So at this moment I am just wasting disk. What can be done to solve this?

Believe me I won’t. But unfortunately I have. Now I would like to know if anything can be done to resolve this. Could it be something (like a Hair) that maybe found its way inside and are destroying all my discs.

You do realize that the "1mm open space" on the inside of the disc is written, but it just looks different due to it having a different density. If an application like Nero says that the disc burned successfully, it's something serious. Did you test the discs in that same DVD Writer after you burned them?

Yes I have tested it. I have even tried to make a disc copy of one of them. The disc doesn't work at all. I have compared the recently burned disc's to ones I burned a couple of months back. You could definitly see a huge difference.
