I have a Mecer FSW 410 wireless access point connected to my desktop PC.
I used this setup to establish a wireless connection to my notebook. It used to be working fine up to about a week ago.
If I ping the host PC from the notebook, the response time is about 18 ms. That is when the distance between the wireless access point and the notebook is less than 3 meters. It should be less than 1 ms.
If I move to the next room, the reponse time is about the same but I get about 25 % timeouts.
It seems that there is interference at my home which is causing this. I took the Mecer wireless access point to work and tested it there. It is working fine at work.
I have switch off about everything trying to find the source of the interference. No luck so far.
Does anybody have an idea how I can solve this problem?
This is really frustrating !!!!
