Just wondering if anyone else had a similar problem yesterday, my problem is that after purchasing credit for use with SkypeOut, the order status stayed "Pending" for the whole day, whereas Paypal said the transaction status was "Completed".

The result is that I was not able to SkypeOut any of my family & friends overseas, and I got fed up with Skype and late last night I lodged a dispute with Paypal for non-provision of service, soon after that Skype sent me an email saying "Skype: we've delivered your purchase", so I think great - it's too late to call anyone but tomorrow I will be able to call, well guess what, there is another email from Skype this morning saying that Skype has reversed the transaction...

No problem buying last night.

It gets worse, the idiot(s) at Skype have imposed a block on my account with the following message popping up:
You are currently restricted from purchasing services or redeeming vouchers. Please {LINK_CONTACT}contact Customer Support{LINK_END} to review your account status.

First they screw up my purchase of credits, then they reverse it, and now they've blocked my account, and I still cannot call my friends & family overseas   .

Will Google it, but tell me more...

It's a VOIP solution offering similar options to Skype i.e. free pc2pc prepaid dial out. It also offers native inernet phone on my E71, which is nice.

I haven't compared costs on dial out, but I'm sure they are comparable to Skype.

I haven't compared call costs either [yet], but for anyone else that's interested, this appears to be the latest url for the Gizmo Project: http://gizmo5.com/.

Vox/Vonage/Masterjack??

HI
What has anyone found to be the best possible solution in SA for attaching an adaptor to the ADSL line to make free calls to the US? I need to do a conference call of one hour at least daily to the US. Skype was fantastic on Christmas day. Otherwise it is impossible to sustain more than 2 minutes at a stretch when dialing this US Number. Telkom is my service provider. I have had forty solutions from that number of assistants at their ADSL help number.
I have been using Talk Time as a cheap phone card system, but the VoIP I think is so cheap now that I cannot reach the destination with the code that follows on after the intitial US tel number is dialed. Now that Real talk is dead ( and was a reliable service) I wonder if Talk Time actually opted for a cheaper line since they have no competition at this point in Joburg. Does anyone know of another cheap card system in Joburg?
