Problems with SAIX SMTP in Centurion area?

Hi,

is it just me or are there problems with SAIX SMTP in the Centurion area?

My mailserver relaying office mail to SAIX struggles and logs messages like

2008-09-22 16:44:48 1KhmZj-0004Qg-Vu == [email protected] R=send_to_gateway T=remote_smtp defer (110): Connection timed out: SMTP timeout while connected to smtp.saix.net [196.43.2.142] after initial connection (1792 bytes written)

we also have problem's with SAIX SMTP and we at Samrand Midrand

had the same off and on in cape town. i think one (or maybe more) of the cluster of smtp servers was refusing connections.

The whoel ADSL network in Centurion seems erratic.
SMTP very erratic - browsing also erratic
