Problems with SAIX?

Anyone else having problems with SAIX?
I am having intermittent problems accessing some sites including:

www.netgear.com
www.family.org

I am also having latency problems accessing many other sites.

Is this only me? (My ADSL line is new)

is your router in bridge or route mode? bridge means you dial to the internet with a username and password through windows. there is much less packetloss with bridge mode.

did the techie set the ip addresses?

if he did and your router is in route mode, it could be a bad combination. i experienced problems with it, as well as several others i know.

try ping www.netgear.com. if you get packetloss, then you could have the same problem as us.

Well..

I have no problems to many intl. sites and I seem to be having the same problems on both SAIX and IS connections.

specifically the two sites mentioned...
my ping to netgear.com .....

and just as he was speaking, he realises that he did a stoopid thing in assigning a public IP to his router and home LAN
