My wife's Samsung A3 has a problem when the settings icon is selected to change something on the phone, settings immediately crashes. The rest of the phone is working normally.
I have tried to get a solution by using Google, but most of the suggested solutions start off with "select settings" which is obviously not working as it crashes immediately. Nothing worked to finally fix the problem.

Any solution to correct the situation with the help of the MyBB knowledge base will be welcomed.

Try one of the following:
- Open Playstore
- Search for Digital Wellbeing App
- Uninstall Digital Wellbeing App
- Restart Phone and try accessing Settings

OR

- Touch Settings icon for about 3 secs
- Select App Info
- Select Storage
- Select Clear/Erase All Data
- Restart Phone and try accessing Settings

Thanks for the suggestions, will try the first one later when the phone is back from shopping spree.
I tried the second suggestion, but the moment one selects App info, settings crashes again.

Is it an A03 Core? I have the exact same issue. Would also really appreciate some help (or feedback on the above suggestions). Had to switch to my spare phone because my Wi-Fi SSID changed and I couldnt connect to it anymore

Yes, A3 Core rubbish.
I've known Samsung's budget phones to be really trash in the past (compared to similar priced ones from Xiaomi), but I was in a urgent situation and this one was widely advertised and seemed quite popular. The big deciding for me was the big screen size and the dual SIM since I usually need that for work, so I thought I'll bite, but clearly with a glaring issue like this, that wasn't a very wise decision

Tried both suggestions, unfortunately none worked. Digital Wellbeing App was not installed. I installed it with no change. Then un-installed the app, but the problem still exists.
