Problems with sending mail from my Galaxy tab 3 10"

I have my Telkom mail set up on my tablet. I can receive mail, but email that is sent from the tablet is not delivered to the recipient.
I have checked the outgoing mail settings and they are as recommended by Telkom.
Anybody out there experienced similar problems?
