Procedure for Personalised number plates

I wd like to put personalised number plates on my ride. Can someone tell me how long it takes, how u can search for different names available , fees charged

You apply at the Department of Transport, and once you have the form from them, you have to go to Licensing Dept to get the plates, get it linked to your car and issued with a new disc.
