Processed cheese blocks

I was under the general impression that blocks of cheese are usually natural while the slices are processed (except when marked otherwise)

Spar do not label their blocks. They're usually natural but this block turned out to be processed.

Watch out. Look carefully.
 
:D I got one of those by mistake once, that stuff is seriously :sick:

On closer inspection you can see the colour is different to normal cheeses.

No, it looks like regular cheese when packaged. It's only up close and/or after cutting that you'll realize you've been duped. It's smoother and wetter than natural cheese.

What name was on the block? Was it shrink wrapped or store wrapped?

According to the OP, it was not labelled. Perhaps someone took it somewhere, decided he/she didn't want it anymore and dumped it with the rest of the cheeses. People leave stuff on other shelves, too lazy to take it back :rolleyes:

You can normally tell the difference quite easily.
