Does anyone know of a program that would help me, I have a few thousand mp3's and I want a program that can help me back them up on dvd's (about 20-30 dvd's). Also maybe something to check if there are any doubles and delete them.

Thanks in advance

Hmm, I've forgotten what I used to use for organising but Doublekiller is a good double, uhm, killer :D

To find duplicates I will recommend Duplicate Cleaner.

It has a option to compare file content via CRC so even if the name is different it will find the duplicate. I also repeat a search by name as well because sometimes you have a higher bitrate mp3 of the same file.

It's Freeware:

I cleaned up about 120GB of duplicates not to long ago using it.

and here i am working on my list for the trip and have found a few duplicates in iTunes. i reckon these will work for me too.

I need something that can put 35000 songs onto dvd's. I don't feel like grouping it in however many groups is needed.

Just TAR them into one big file and then split the TAR file into chunks that will fit onto DVD.

If you have WinRAR, right click on the folder that contains the songs and select 'Add to archive.' Choose 'Fastest' for the compression or go into the settings and ensure that it doesn't attempt to compress music files. Then under 'split into volums' (iirc) choose DVD or enter your own size (in bytes). You will then have a number of 4.7GB (iirc) sized RAR files and each can be burned to a disc. Alternatively, buy an external hard drive.
