Program to log internet online/offline?

Is there a free lightweight program out there to log whether your internet connection is online or offline say every 5minutes? and preferably one that doesn't use up a lot of bandwidth in the process.

Go to www.logmein.com there is a freeware remote dektop app, install it on your pc. After that you can see the status of your pc online and even remotely access it if necessary.
