Programming Battery after replacement

Hi All

Any one managed to have their battery replaced at a reputable place not dealership and still have their battery programmed?

Think I might be in for a new battery soon since I do less driving and therefore the car doesnt charge up like it used to pre work from home.

What car do you drive? On my Golf 7 TSi I used a VAGCOM cable to change the battery serial, capacity and type. Not sure what the programming is like on other cars.

Now we a programming batteries? The same batteries that have worked for years by just swapping with a new one? Aikhona banna, I can't believe the scam these car manufacturers are running.
