Hi Guys,

I have a couple of proline pcs win 7 pro desktops that need to be "restored to factory settings" because junk has been installed on them..

They have recover partition of 10gb that are no active in the disk manager, any clue how to use these to reset the pc ?

boot key upon switching on the PC
Sometimes F11 but check the boot menu and on screen prompts

Yeah they will bring up boot options i.e.

1) HDD
2) DVD

but both the recovery partition and active partition are on the HDD(1) so it will probally just boot windows as per usual.

Wass wondering is any one had done it or have a pinnacle how to?

Can you not access the recovery partion via bios/bootup. Some manufacturers have a util instilled to create recovery media.

F12 Brings up the boot menu, which sometimes includes the Recovery option...
F11 is usually straight into recovery, follow the boot prompts otherwise phone pinnacle support

Tried a couple of options:

Solution:
- Hit F8 like a mad man at boot.
- select 'repair my pc'

Above was mentioned by HunterGR, thanks mate

Another option is to set the recovery partition as the default boot partition(using paragon, acronis, Windows storage manager or whatever partition manager you have on hand) and at the next boot it will boot straight into recovery, then after the system has been restored the default boot partition will automatically be reset to the Os/windows.
