Back in October Noomi Rapace, who plays Elizabeth Shaw in Prometheus, exclaimed that God or [the] Devil in Ridley Scott’s planned sequel.

Scott refutes this a bit in a new interview with The Australian. In it, he explains that the script, which is “written (and)…really good,” is “fresh” and “getting away from gods and dragons and ****. If I see one more dragon I’m going to shoot myself. Stop the dragons.”

Scott describes his original Alien as “the definitive dragon and he’s a motherf . . ker. The alien’s real which is why it’s probably one of the scariest monsters in film history,” Scott says. “So with Prometheus 2 what I’m trying to do is reintroduce a fresher form of alien in the third act.” The Prometheus “baby” alien was, he concedes, “awfully close to the alien” that tormented Sigourney Weaver. His next one promises to be very different.

Recapping, Rapace says we may see God and The Devil. Scott says he’s staying away from Gods and dragons, while adding that we’ll see a new alien creature. I prefer to know nothing about Prometheus 2, so hopefully they can keep the storyline shrouded in mystery as they did with the first.

Releasing 2016. I'm certainly looking forward to this.

Having been disappointed by Interstellar after enjoying the 1st Prometheus 2 years ago watching it 3 times i am looking forward to the sequel.

What...

I hope characters have learned how to run away from falling objects in the sequel.

Probably means it's animatronic instead of CGI.
I just hope this one has something like a plot or even 1 character that doesn't beg the question "why the f did they do that" all the time.

Of course :o

EDIT: And I concur with Ridley Scott - first time I watched Alien I'm fairly sure I changed my underpants afterwards.

I am a die-hard Alien fan. I loved the first three movies (Even the prison planet one) - I even liked Resurrection for the direction it was taking (I'm a big fan of that director). But Prometheus was so disappointing it almost spoiled the franchise. I'd actually skipped work to go watch a early premiere. That's 2 hours of my life I'll never get back.

This time I'll wait for the reviews before even contemplating watching it.

I've never completed watching Prometheus.... just so boring...

You wash your poop mouth out!

Alien 3 and Resurrection were tragic train wrecks and the AvP angle proceeded to take a dump on the mangled remains of said train wrecks.

I watched it on big screen when it was released and was quite bored. A few months back I watched it on blu ray and thoroughly enjoyed it. Now its one of my top best sci-fi movies of all time.
