"Proper" 4K Blu Ray player or Xbox One S/X?

I have just got a 4K TV with HDR.

My question is whether it is better to buy a standalone 4K player, or get the Xbox One (S or X) and use its player. I'm a PS4 fan, but have no issue with getting the Xbox if it is good enough to play 4K discs.

Xbox One X. Only 2 more months to wait. 4K players are still expensive, so you may as well get the Xbox which gives you true 4K/HDR gaming as well...

I'm sort of aligned with your thinking. The dude who installed my LG seemed to think otherwise; hence me just posting this question.
