Property buying advice

Hi

So I am considering buying a property in Pretoria East as I have gotten a job in the area and would like to pay off my own place rather than renting. Was wondering if you guys could give me some advice on good areas to buy in and general property buying tips if you have any. Looking for a 1/2 bedroom place for around R550 000.

One important thing to do when you find a place you are interested in is to check the place out at different times in the day. It could be that you are viewing the property at the best times only, when there might not be additional noise, traffic or smells that would make the location less appealing to a buyer.
 
If you are interested purchasing in a complex you should ask to view the financials of the complex. You could end up buying into financial problems and have extra payments to make on specials levies
