Hi all
Trying to assist an elderly relative with city of Joburg issues:
Individual is staying in house that is registered to a trust. They have elec, water in their name, but property rates is under a separate account.
Rates have fallen into arrears, and they wanted to approach municipality to make a payment arrangement.
However, they have no documentation about the trust at all, and I'm assuming the municiaplity will not do much without them.
I got the trust name from the rates bill and got the trust number from a deed search.
Can anyone approach the master's office and request the paperwork, like Letters of Authority, Trust deed, details of the trustees etc, or does it have to be a trustee?
What happens if I cannot locate some of the trustees?
