Prophecy Problem

It is with a heavy heart that I have to publicly bitch about these guys .....

I bought a Razer Lycosa keyboard as part of a massive order a few months ago and about a month ago, it started giving me hassles. Keys stop working, others get stuck, the media control will do it's own thing, etc etc. I contacted Razer and was told that they had a batch with the same serial as mine that was giving issues and they have made retailers aware of this, so contact the retailer. Well, I did that last week via the Prophecy forum and via email and have as yet not gotten any reply whatsoever. Taking into account that the product is very new AND that there are issues with it according to the manufacturer itself, is it fair that nothing is being done about it? It's an expensive (R600+) piece of kit to have not work when it decides not to.

This is not my previous experience with Prophecy and it's sad that this is just being ignored ..... not cool at all.
 
Generally if they don't get back to me via mail I phone them, have you attempted that?
 
Did try twice on Friday, just rang and rang ..... will obviously phone again but so much hassle is not what I expect from them.
 
Possibly an issue, normally those guys are on the ball.

That's completely unacceptable, and not at all the kind of service we aim to give! Please call us on 011 888 2858, or email me on paul (at) prophecy (dot) co (dot) za and I'll make sure it's sorted out for you as soon as possible. I'm not sure why you couldn't get through on the phones on Friday, as far as I know there where not any problems on our side, but I will double check and test them today!

In regards to the email, we are behind on the tech support emails at this point (after a short work week and a high volume of emails!), but should be back up to date this evening.

Prophecy is awesome, however their response times on their forums and to e-mails has sucked lately.

I'm sorry for the delays we've been having recently, I know it can be very frustrating!

We've been dealing with various issues that have slowed down our internal responses, including having new staff on board that are still getting up to speed, and a higher level of incorrect stock information from our suppliers (which leads to a higher volume of queries to process). We are working on sorting out all of these issues as soon as possible, so we can keep our customers happy and get back up to our normal quick responses.

No problem, it's my pleasure. I've ordered a replacement keyboard so we can forward swap you to avoid any delays on the supplier side!

... this is why Prophecy Shop remains one of the best online PC shops in SA!
I've also had nothing less than the best service when it came to RMA'ing graphics cards with Prophecy Shop.

Officially over Razer keyboards ........ 2 issues with the same k/b is just too much. Not Prophecy's fault, just ranting in the appropriate thread.
 
Yup, Razer sucks. Huge issue with the Lycosa.

Well their mouse pads are decent. :D

Trust me get the Logitech Illuminated and you will never look back.

^This. Gave up on my Razer Lachesis after the middle mouse button stopped working. Got myself a G700 and its awesome :D. My Razer Lycosa is next to go.
 
All I wanna do now is get a different keyboard, trust me. But, will probably have the joy now of posting crap away for weeks before getting the same thing back again, that's if they honor the warranty, I dunno what Razer's manufacturers are like here.

It'll get swapped out for a new one. Sell it and pay a little extra for the Logitech Illuminated if possible.
